VEGAS: where to stay: Luxor or Golden Nugget?

If its a choice between the 2, I would say Luxor. Golden Nugget is in downtown %26amp; you don't wanna stay there-too nasty %26amp; sketchy! You'll notice the difference!

You want to be on or near the Strip where all the action is.



I have heard some complaints about Luxor though.

Yous should check out Treasure Island-very nice, Mirage, Las Vegas Hilton, Mandalay Bay, MGM.
That would depend if you wanted to stay on the strip or on Fremont St. I would choose Luxor. Out of those two if they are having a good deal.VEGAS: where to stay: Luxor or Golden Nugget?
I wouldn't stay at neither one, I would stay at the MIRAGE
Luxor is on the strip (newer)

Golden Nugget is downtown (not as new, but remodeled)

I would go with the luxor.
Check around and you may be surprised that several other nicer hotels are not so expensive.



I hear that the Luxor tower rooms are nice.
Luxor. It was renovated about 6 mos ago.
I would recommend MGM, Venetian or Bellagio

That is like comparing apples to oranges. Luxor is luxurious and the Golden Nugget is nice. We got a good deal on a room at Circus Circus. There are some real good deals on expedia.
I just found some great deals on hotel rooms at the Flamingo (GREAT location, mid-Strip) and at Bally's. Luxor is kind of south-Strip and I've never stayed at the Golden Nugget before.
