Give the genotypes of the two mice being mated?

The allele for wild-type color (B: browm) in white0footed mice is dominant to the allele for a color called Golden-Nugget (B: golden tan). A brown mouse who had a brown parent and a Golden_Nugget parent is mated with a Golden-Nugget mouseGive the genotypes of the two mice being mated?
The brown mouse would have genotype Bb and the golden nugget mouse would have the genotype bb.

Genotype is the actual genes that the organism has for a trait, we represent these with letters, in this case B's.

Since golden nugget is recessive, the only way to get it is to have 2 golden nugget genes. Since it is recessive we use a lower case b. So all golden nugget mice would have the genotype bb.

Brown is dominant so they could have genotype BB or Bb, however in this case, one of the parents has bb (golden nugget) so the brown mouse would have to have at least one little b, that it got from that parent, the other B would have to be the big B for brown or else it would be golden nugget color.
