When you go to vegas on honeymoon?

Is it true when your on your honeymoon that if you tell the front desk it is your honeymoon they might upgrade your room or give you a free bottle of Champagne? I have herd this is true but i don't know if it is in Las Vegas. We will be staying at the Golden Nugget. When you go to vegas on honeymoon?
It MIGHT help you out...doesn't hurt to mention it.

BUT, there is a great infamous Vegas trick called the "$20 Trick." This has been known to work. When you check in, slip the front desk clerk a $20 bill with your credit card. Ask if they have any complimentary room upgrades available and that it is your honeymoon and you would really appreciate if they would check for you. If they do, they will keep the $20 bill and provide you with the upgrade. If not, they will return the bill. So it really is risk free and worth a shot. Who knows, they may even throw in a bottle of champagne.

My parents used this in Vegas at a concert they were attending. My mom asked an usher to show them to their seats, while slipping him a $20 bill and the guy brought them right down to the front row of the concert! Talk about an upgrade!
"Might" is the key word.

It varies from hotel to hotel. Right now hotels are not full at all, so an upgrade is probably likely. When you go to vegas on honeymoon?
good luck and happy honeymooning...
can't heart to try... the worst thing that can happened they will say no
You have to remember that LV is the wedding capitol of the world. If they did that with everyone who just got married they would be too busy doing that all the time. It is worth a try though. In this economy they are happy to have anyone check in and with rooms empty and upgrade isn't out of the ordinary but a bottle of champagne??? I don't think so.
It depends for that. Otherwise it may or may not. You can look up info about the honeymoon in Las Vegas though.
GOLDEN NUGGET IS A GREAT HOTEL
It didn't happen for me. I stayed at Treasure Island and every chance I got while talking to the concierge or the front desk, I brought up the fact I would be there on my honeymoon.
