What shall i do to get rid of mice?

I noticed some holes in my golden nugget box and heard scratches, i have taken all the food out of the cupboard and left a bit of cheese to see if they come back. its been a week and it hasnt moved. Do you think its safe to put the food back?What shall i do to get rid of mice?
Mice dont like cheese. If they have been and fed there is a great possibility they will come back. Their favourite food is peanut butter so spread a little on a piece of bread or cracker and try that.

Alternatively you can buy a humane mouse trap to put it on, they get in and cant get out so you can take him up the park or in a neighbours garden you dont like (only joking)

I'm not sure if it safe to eat the food, but my advice is get a cat. I have one myself, a female tabby that hunted down many mice, rats, etc. She's amazing for catching them and killing them! Then She gives it to me as a trophy! LOLWhat shall i do to get rid of mice?
set out a bowl of dry instant potatoe flakes, next to it set out a bowl of water. the mice it the flakes, which are salty, drink the water, then swell up and die.
You should put the food back, and set mice traps; so when they come back again they will learn not to go there again. Also, it wil stop them from getting the food. This is wha ti think.
mice arent actually big fans of cheese, thats just what they eat in cartoons.

take the hint, they have been after the cerial so leave some of that out and see if they come.

get a cat, or a humane trap.
Bait a mouse trap with bacon rind,And wait for it to go off,Crack,Squeak.Remove dead mouse.

White chocolate is good, they love white chocolate.

put a trap down with a raisin as bait
no, buy some rat poison such as D-Con is good...they will be back
get an inhuman trap or a cat with sharp claws ;)
borrow a friends cat or terrier dog?
