Flamingo has the best location and the best pool area of those you listed. The rooms are a bit older than the others but you really don't spend that much time in your room.



Golden Nugget is downtown and you would be better off on the strip.



Circus Circus is over run by screaming kids. If you aren't bringing kids then avoid this one.



Stratosphere is fine if you are driving. If you don't have a car then it is a pain going to and from the property as it is way north of the strip.



NYNY is a nice property and the rooms are newer. Good location and a really neat theme. Just like walking through the streets of NY.



Excalibur is directly across the street from the Excalibur and is a bit older than NYNY. They really discount their rooms so you get guests who are on a cheap vacation.



I would pick the Flamingo. It really has the best location on the strip.

Golden Nugget Hotel

Flamingo Las Vegas

Excalibur

Stratosphere

Circus Circus



Golden Nugget is actually very nice but it's downtown and not on the Vegas strip

I would go with the NYNY. The Excalibur is kind of kitchy, the Flamingo is nice. The Golden Nugget is downtown and about 5 miles from the action. Circus Circus and the Stratosphere are at the northern end of the South strip area and kind of off on their own.
NYNY is the best one of your listing. You will love it.

I would go downtown to the Golden Nugget. For a young group, especially, the downtown area is much more affordable. Really, it won't matter all that much, you won't be spending a lot of time in your room or a lot of time in your hotel.



The only one I would stay away from is Excalibur. Its "Medieval Times", which is not hot for a casino, imo.
Go for the Flamingo. One reason is i always get comped again each time i stay there. They send me always back for free!!! 2nd is the pool... Its awsome and wild.. With a Slide. 3rd they got the Go Rooms which is cool.. and Pink!! I think any were you stay will be fun.. try i4vegas.com i always reserve with that website.. Cheaper prices!! Have fun i will be out there this weekend staying at Hooters Hotel. That is my favorite.. Crowds fun and great!!

Out of all the options, I agree with the others and say stay at The New York New York. If someone is turning 21 that would be a great place to stay that isn't too pricey, but is nicer and newer than the others. The NYNY is also in a great location on the strip. Have fun!
In the order that I would choose:



NYNY

Flamingo

Golden Nugget

Excalibur

Stratosphere

Circus Circus



Stratosphere isn't located near anything else, and there are some shady areas nearby. It's just a pain, and the hotel isn't anything special. Circus Circus is old and run down, and has a lot of kids and families there. It's also not in a great location, up near Stratosphere.



Excalibur has a great location, but is also an older place and also tends to cater to families a bit. Usually has great rates though.



Golden Nugget is really nice, but is downtown and not on the strip. Just depends on how important being on the strip is, and how much time you think you'll want to spend on the strip.



Flamingo is older, but has been kept up really well. It's got a great pool area too. It is located right in the center of the strip, so there is fairly easy access to most everything else.



NYNY is located toward one end of the strip, but it's near MGM and Planet Hollywood, which are fun. Not too far from Luxor, which has a pretty young feel to it. NYNY is a really nice place with some fun bars and other things to get into.

NYNY is nice but towards the end of the Strip, which isn't the biggest deal, it's a nice walk and you can always cab it to the clubs. Flamingo has the best location of all, right in the middle of the strip and all the nightlife is nearby, the pool is awesome too!
I would choose Flamingo - get a "GO" room!
