Can one tell me if you ever stayed, at the Golden Nugget Hotel in Las Vegas, Downtown,&what R you're thoughts

Is staying Downtown Ok or Not and what else is there to do there? Any recommendation, thanks.Can one tell me if you ever stayed, at the Golden Nugget Hotel in Las Vegas, Downtown,%26amp;what R you're thoughts
The good news is, the GN is a very nice four star hotel with all of the amenities you would expect from one. Very nice rooms, exceptional restaurants, very-very nice pool. The only bad news is, the GN is probably the worst casino downtown to gamble in. You can find much better gaming at any of the other downtown hotels.

We prefer Main Street Stations Buffet for lunch %26amp; or dinner to the GN's and the Pullman Grille at MSS is the best "moderate" price steakhouse in LV.

MSS%26gt;IMHO their Lunch and Dinner buffets are the #1 best value buffets in LV%26lt;

The seafood buffet at Fremont(hotel) Sun/Tue/Fri is a great spread for the $$.

If you're a bread pudding fan you might want to try the GN's buffet, their bread pudding is the best.

There is usually something going on, on Fremont Street,

Vegas Club has a sports memorabilia collection.

Main Street Station has so many antiques %26amp; artifacts from all over the world it should qualify as a museum - Restored rail cars, a section of the Berlin Wall, Bronze doors from the Royal Bank of Kuwait. The Pullman Grille restaurant was actually built around the fireplace from Preswick Castle. They have a brochure at the front desk that will show you where everything is located.

Golden Gate is the oldest hotel/casino in LV, it opened in 1906. The GG is famous for it's .99c shrimp cocktail.

.
I have stayed there many times. It is very nice and better quality for the price than anything on the Strip. I prefer Downtown because it only takes a minute or two to walk from one casino to another. On the strip it feels like you have to walk a half mile from one mega resort to another. Go to www.cheapovegas.com for accurate reviews of all the casinos. Good luck!!Can one tell me if you ever stayed, at the Golden Nugget Hotel in Las Vegas, Downtown,%26amp;what R you're thoughts
Golden Nugget is one of the nicer properties downtown. Plenty to do if you like drinkin and gamblin. Main or new strip isnt far, though... Five minute cab ride. Stay downtown, party uptown. Rooms are fine.
Golden Nugget is very nice! Stay there and rent a car to get to The Strip, which has a lot more to do than downtown.
