Is it easier to take the bus or light rail in Denver to Elitch Gardens & back?

I will be visiting next week %26amp; the closest hotel I could get is 15 miles away near Hampden %26amp; Teller if ne1 knows that area. (if it's in LODO I'm going to scream! but I'm bringing my pepper spray lol) Will I have a hard time getting there %26amp; back (to Elitch %26amp; back to hotel)? Any1? Bueller? Is it easier to take the bus or light rail in Denver to Elitch Gardens %26amp; back?
Well, you should know that if the hotel is 15 miles away, it's not in LoDo! You're in Lakewood, way out of the city. You'll have to bus it into the city or to a distant light rail station if you don't have a car. Luckily, there is a major bus transfer point within walking distance of the hotel and you should be able to get downtown in about an hour.

Check out www.rtd-denver.com and click on Schedules. Route 30 goes from Wadsworth/Hampden to downtown. Get off at Auraria and take the Light Rail a couple of stops to Elitches (or walk about 20 minutes). OR you could take Route 27 to the Light Rail at Englewood and ride to Elitches from there.

Neither of these options is convenient. I highly recommend that you rent a car for your trip - Denver is not the most public-transportation friendly city if you're not a business commuter.
i say light railIs it easier to take the bus or light rail in Denver to Elitch Gardens %26amp; back?
Oh that's easy! The newly expanded light rail system has a direct route between those areas and the stop for Elitch Gardens is very convenient!
I totally agree with Mama Gretch...the bus and light rail is a bummer if you aren't from here and know your way around, especially since you are WAY far from downtown (and elitches)...you can catch a cab if you can't rent a car...
i suggest the bus...last week me and a few friends tried to take light rail to a concert downtown, and it was more of a hassle than anything. also, with light rail, unless you know the city well enough to walk the majority of the way, it is very easy to get lost because light rail does not go directly to all locations. the bus is just easier (as long as you have a bus schedule and know where you're going)....
definatly take the light rail...its faster and cheaper and better for the earth
i take light rail ti elitches. its really easy and you can use almost any line to get there and not have to switch trains. it drops you off right there. u should be ok. dont worry girl you wont get shot lol.
