PHYSICAL SCIENCE....HELP PLZZ PLZZ!!!!!!?

the tower of doom at elitch gardens in denver, colorado, lifts 12 people 60 meter into the air. the engineers assume rider the average person has a mass of 60 kg.

A.HOW MUCH RIDER WEIGHT DOES THE RIDE LIFT INTO THE AIR? (NEGLECT THE WEIGHT OF THE CARS.)

B.HOW MUCH FORCE MUST THE RIDE PRODUCE TO DO THIS?

C.HOW MUCH MUCH WORK DOES THE RIDE DO TO LIFT THE RIDERS UP TO A HEIGHT OF 60 METERS?

D.HOW MUCH WORK IS DONE BY GRAVITY AS THE RIDERS ARE LIFTED TO A HEIGHT OF 60 METERS?

E.WHAT IS THE POTENTIAL ENERGY OF A SINGLE, AVERAGE-WEIGHT PERSON AT THE TOP OF THE RIDE?

F.IF THE RIDE SLOWS FROM ITS MAXIMUM SPEED OF 30 M/S TO ZERO IN 2 SECONDS, HOW MUCH POWER DID IT TAKE? HINT:USE THE COMBINED OF ALL 15 RIDERS.PHYSICAL SCIENCE....HELP PLZZ PLZZ!!!!!!?
A. 12 people - 60kg each = 7200kg

7200 times force of gravity (weight is mass times g, and g is usually rounded to 10 on earth) = 72000N (newtons = units of force)

B. Exactly the same amount as above plus a bit extra to overcome friction in the machinery.

C. Work = Force x Distance so W = 72000 x 60 = 4,320,000 Joules or 4,320kj or 4.32mj

D. No work is done by gravity.

E. PE = mgh = 60 x 10 x 60 = 36000J

F. Power = work / time = wait a minute - first you said 12 riders now 15.........

Anyway, its work / 2 and the answer is in watts. The work is 1/ 2 mass times velocity squared. So if 12 riders its 1/2 of 12 x 60 = 360, times 30 squared (900) 360 x 900 = 324000 then divide by two (seconds) its 162000 watts or 162 kw.

Now watch out for the guys telling you to go to their amazing site - the answer is THERE!
