Is the Golden Nugget on the strip?

No. It's downtown.

Downtown is much better than its reputation. The games are the same, minimums are lower, the lights at night are great, it is safe (as long as you stay under the Fremont St. canopy and you don't walk your feet off.

The Nugget is the best hotel, but there is nothing wrong with the 4 Queens, Vegas Club, Main Street Station or the California.

Don't miss shooting craps at the Golden Gate and Binions.

Try the .99 Shrimp Cocktail at the Golden Gate.Is the Golden Nugget on the strip?

No, it's downtown.....
The Golden Nugget is Downtown. It has been sold since Steve Wynn owned it to two dot-commers who then sold it two years later to a restaurant chain owned by the Ferritata family.
Golden nugget is down there by the Freemont Experience, old Vegas. Its in a cool area. If you want something lower priced on the strip on the N end try Circus Circus or the Startosphere.
I am so sorry my yahoo friend but it is downtown.

This is in the old section of gaming houses and about 2 miles from the Strip.
No, it is downtown. If you are planning on going down to Fremont Street from the Strip, you should buy a day pass for The Deuce.
As everyone else has stated, the Golden Nugget is located Downtown on Fremont Street. It is the only 4 start property downtown. Here is a site that give you quite a bit more information on the Golden Nugget.
