A pleco is just like most any other tropical catfish, as that's what it is, an armored catfish. Algae wafers are a good suppliment, but it's a straight bottom feeder. You don't need a specific food for it. It will help clean up any leftover uneaten food in your substrate.

it should be eating waste out of your tank but my pleco would eat food id feed to my African chiclids i think it was chiclid attack or something
If you have an established tank it will find things to eat. Other than the wafers I never feed mine anything. It just cleans the tank for you at night.
