Is the golden nugget a nice hotel in vegas?

Looking for a nice hotel but not to pricie like MGMIs the golden nugget a nice hotel in vegas?
It's a really old hotel...it was one of the first built in Vegas. If you want the old school maroon carpets and the old hag waitresses...go for it! The newer hotel are on the other side. They give away free and really cheap room deals. I stayed at the Bellagio, Wynn, Venetain and they were all awsome and I found very cheap rate coupons online.
THe Golden Nugget is still a pretty good Hotel in Las Vegas. The Fremont Street Experience helped to revive it. SInce they remodeled it, the rooms are pretty nice and should be comfortable to stay in. You should be impressed with their new pool area with the new shark tank and the new water slide. THey have really given the hotel a face lift. Check out the link below for more info.Is the golden nugget a nice hotel in vegas?
It's probably the nicest for downtown. You wouldn't be on The Strip, so you'd have to take a cab or the bus. If you want to be closer to the strip, look for a place that's few blocks away. Tuscany Gardens is cheap, but they have a $10 resort fee that they'll add to your room rate. It's decent, but it's not Bellagio.
It's billed as the most luxurious in Old Vegas Fremont Street. I think it's a great deal - it's a bit out of the way, but the prices are right.
Nice place but not on Strip, it is Downtown

I would look at NYNY, Excalibur, Monte Carlo on Strip
It's a very nice hotel, definitely the best one on Fremont Street.
Try the tropicana (;
