Keep in mind the regular deluxe rooms and bathrooms.
I hear that the Golden nugger is good, but the reason why i'm considering the fitzgeralds is that it is a tall hotel, and maybe i can get a good view?Should i stay at the golden nugget or Fitzgeralds?
the golden nugget is definitely better, and the pool is amazing.
Those are in North Las Vegas. If this is your first time there, why not stay at the strip somewhere around Bally's. You get a great view of the strip and you are in the middle of all the action. See the fountains at the Bellagio, and TI's Siren show, and the volcano show at the Mirage. These are free and they have them every night. they also have them timed so that you can walk from one to the other.
then maybe one night take the bus (I think it is #31) to Fremont Experience and then you can view the Golden Nugget, and Fitzgerald's and the Four Queens too.
Good luck, I know you'll enjoy the trip, win or lose.Should i stay at the golden nugget or Fitzgeralds?
golden nugget
The Golden Nugget and the Fitz's are downtown not North Las Vegas. you won't get a view from downtown unless your room is facing south downtown is real Vegas, the south strip is fake everyone's trying to be something there not, very crowded on the weekends stay downtown ride the deuce to see the strip.
I'd pick the Fitz's.
The Golden Nugget is a better hotel and the view is good too!
The Golden Nugget surely is nicer but the Fitz is not so bad itself. I have friends who love the Fitz. I tend not to prefer to stay downtown when I go. But I visit the Fitz.
And if downtown and doing the buffet thing, I recommend the buffet at the Fremont. Even the regular buffet was very good for $9.99 and the dining room was very nice. I am usually not a fan of buffets but I sure like this one and the price.
the fitzgeralds is taller, but the golden nugget is a nicer hotel. It has been remodeled and is the place to stay here if you stay downtown. But it really doesn't have a view. So if the room really doesn't mean alot, stay at fitzgeralds.
Golden Nugget is excellent. It is rated as a Mobil 5 Diamond hotel.
The pool area is all new. Great restaurants. Good slot club. Very nice rooms and suites.
It is downtown Las Vegas and about a 15 minute drive to the heart of the Strip.
