I'm going to Las vegas in June should i stay at the Golden Nugget or the Flamingo?

The Golden Nugget is a better deal for the money but then you will have to take the bus to the Vegas strip. Both properties have great pools but the pool at Golden Nugget is one of the best in Las Vegas.I'm going to Las vegas in June should i stay at the Golden Nugget or the Flamingo?
Flamingo is a perfectly fine option, with a great location in the center of the strip. The rooms are nothing special, but they aren't bad at all.

Golden Nugget is a nice place, but it's downtown, which is not walking distance to the strip. You'd have to take a bus, taxi, or drive if you'll have a car. The downtown area is more "old" Vegas and much more low-key than the strip.

It really depends on what you plan to do and where you want to be. If you plan to be on the strip for most of your trip, then you may as well stay there. But if you aren't into all that and want a more relaxed experience, then Golden Nugget might be a better bet for you.
The Flamingo is in the center of the Strip, but it's not one of the newer hotels on the Strip or the nicest. The Golden Nugget's new addtions are newer and it's the nicest hotel in the Downtown section of Las Vegas (adjacent to the Fremont Street Experience overhead light show that occurs in the evenings).

If you don't feel you need to be on the Strip, the Nugget is very nice. By the way, I advise all visitors to avoid a game called "6 to 5" Blackjack (signs are on the tables saying this). It is a ripoff galore. Blackjack naturals always used to pay $15 if a person bet $10,. With "6 to 5" it's $12.I'm going to Las vegas in June should i stay at the Golden Nugget or the Flamingo?
If it's your first time, the answer has to be the Flamingo. Most of what you're going to want to see on your trip is within walking distance.

If you've done the strip before, I'd recommend the Nugget. Better rooms for the same price, better gambling, better pool and better restaurants. The Flamingo is fine, but the Golden Nugget outshines it in every respect except location.
It really depends what you want to do. If you like the oldschool nature of downtown, then definitely Golden Nugget. If you want to be central on the strip like I usually am, then definitely Flamingo. Both hotels are good, but Flamingo is one of my favorites. If you can afford it, get a go room. The atmosphere is always great there and I love the dealers and poker room. Also, it's right next to BIll's for some cheap, fun gambling and karoake, lol.

Cheers!
the Golden Nugget the reviews on the Flamingo are not so great and i've seen the rooms myself and they're not the best thing
If you don't mind paying a bit extra, stay at the Golden Nugget. If you'd rather save a bit of money or stay on the Strip, then go with Flamingo. Personally, I'd go with the Golden Nugget.
See about this deal first!

Golden Nugget is nice but Downtown, which locals find boring. I would enjoy the Flamingo where you are across the street from Caesars, by Ballys and Paris and Bellagio and Bills
