I am 16, my boyfriend is 19 (I will be 17 September 24, he will be 20 June 19). Is it legal for us to get married in the state of Montana? My parents approve of us by the way. and before you get judgmental, just know that I'm very mature for my age. I have a good paying job, I'm a waitress at applebees (minimum wage but on average 40-150 dollars in tips a night), I am a month away from getting my diploma, I have my license, bought my own car, pay my own insurance...repairs...ect. He is almost done with his GED and we are headed in the same direction in life; career wise, our faith in God, goals for the future, morals, and all that stuff. We have been best friends for over 2 years and dating for a few months. He is a really great guy. Thanks for the answers ((:16yr. Old marrying 19yr. old in Montana ?

Yes, it IS legal. You just need permission from your parent(s). Unless you wait until you're 18! :) You can read about it on legal sites online.
You can marry now.

I married young, too young, in my twenties. People change a lot between 16 and 30. If you want to make this work you'll need help all along the way. Get counseling before you need. Be happy.
The link below gives you information about getting married in Montana. It has a special section for those that are under 18. Since you're at least 16 years old, it's possible with a couple sessions to get judicial consent along with your parents' consent to get married.
If you are 16 or 17 years old, you must have the consent of both parents unless only one parent has legal custody of you. Proof of age must be in the form of a certified copy of your birth certificate. Both of you, as a couple, will also have to attend at least two counseling sessions that are at least 10 days apart. This has to be done with a designated counselor who will then have to provide a letter that states the names of the couple, their ages, the dates of the counseling sessions, and what the counselor thinks about their possible marriage. Then judicial consent signed by a district court judge must be given for the Clerk of court's office to issue a marriage license. No one 15 years of age or younger may marry in Montana
I would advise against it. You guys are too young.
You can call Montana or look up their website.
By the way - it is rather amusing that you say you will be 17 in September which is 9 months away. Which means you just turned 16 a couple of months ago.
You are closer to 15 than 17.
