Okay so my Grandma offered to take me and three friends to Elitch Gardens in Denver. (An amusement park..and we live in the Springs so Denver is quite a ways out there..) I've only invited one person and that's it. So, because we invited him, would it be rude to ask his parents to drive one way, to or from Denver?
In my opinion, it would be okay if the plan was made between both of our parents. But I think it would be rude to expect his parents to drive one way when we invited him.Is it rude to ask this?
Yes it's rude. It's not much of an invitation, is it?
Yes it is very rude. He will feel like the only reason you invited him was for the free gas. The gas alone will probably cost more than his ticket. Is it rude to ask this?
Yeah, inviting someone, and then expecting them to start delivering services throughout a plan you made is a little bit.. eh.. you know.
His parents might not mind, but since you ask.. yes it's a bit rude.
Yes its rude.

If his parents drive one way they have to drive the other way to get home. Are you inviting them to the amusement park?
I am confused.
How about I ask you to dinner then ask you to pay half when the bill arrives? Oh, and you can pay the cab home too...
Yes, I think you're on the ball. If you invite them to Denver, they are in your care. Maybe they will pay their own tickets and food, but transport is up to you.
