How do you win big at carnival games?

With our band today we went to Elitch Gardens in Denver for an end of the year celebration. I tried a few games, but failed miserably. There were games like Whack-A-Mole, test your strength, ring toss on a bottle, climb the ladder, and regular games like that. I usually only play the everybody wins games, because I can't loose, but we're going again soon, and I want to wint one of those humongous bears this time. does anyone have any tips that will almost guarrantee me to win at least something better than the cheapo "anybody can get" prizes? How do you win big at carnival games?
The best way to explain how to win carnival games is to do what everybody normally doesn't do. For instance, for the hammer game, most people hold the hammer with one of their hands right by the other almost on top of the other. I was told the way to do it is hold one hand near the front of the hammer, and hold the other hand further away from the other hand.

For the Ring Toss, why do you think they have all those stuffed animals over the bottles. It's because the higher you throw the ring, the better you will have a chance of winning. It's like in basketball when you throw the ball higher in the air, you have a better chance of winning.

For the ladder game, that is extremely hard, and I wouldn't try it, but I think the point of winning that game is to not stop and adjust yourself. I think people are too slow and than try to fix the problem, and never win the game, and eventually turn over. Go as fast as possible up the ladder with most likely your whole body being outstretched so your body is over the whole thing rather than just trying to be in the middle of it. People think they have to keep on adjusting themselves.

For throwing tin cans, most people throw hard, and you don't have to. It's more about skill, and accuracy than strength of the person throwing them. How is that going to help if you throw a 40 mph pitch, but you completely miss the cans.

So, do whatever you see most people not doing, and you might win. You aren't guaranteed to win because this stuff has to be perfect in order for you to win. Just because you have your hands further apart for the strength game doesn't mean that you have the strength to actually win the game. You might though. These games are meant to trick people, take their money, and you get nothing. Otherwise, do you think they want to give away big huge prizes to everyone playing the game??How do you win big at carnival games?
First off, you have to understand that the whole point of carnival games like those is to take your money. When they design the game, they do their best to make it so that you DON'T win. That way, you pay them, you lose, and they have to give you nothing in return.

Honestly, most of those games are sheer luck. When it comes to ring toss though, a light toss is always better than a hard spinning throw. Try and aim for a certain spot on the board of bottles.

Good Luck!
