Does obama have class or what?

I think he was gonna eat this golden nugget on the spot, realized where he was and stuck it behind his ear for later.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oQmLzdTl鈥?/a>Does obama have class or what?
Obama does not have class, so I would have to go with the "or what."
Obama is cool.

Its so sad how people have to pick up on every single little tiny thing that somebody they dont like does. And turn it into a big sin.

sad.Does obama have class or what?
yea. um. no one cares what you think!
Your mom has class!
Well, it's obvious that you surely don't have any class.

Will catfish eat plecos?

I definitly dont want them to but i was wondering. I had cory cats in the tank and added two bumblebee catfish. They ate all the cory cats but have not tried (i guess) to eat the plecos. i have a small golden nugget and green phantom. Should i be worried for the plecos? Will catfish eat plecos?
I am surprised that the bumblebee's ate the cories, because cories when they get into trouble will lock the barbs on their dorsal and pectoral fins often to the detriment to both the predator and the prey. I take it your cories were really small or your bumblebees are quite large?

I wouldn't worry about the pair of plecos unless the size difference is greater than 4-5 inches, which it should since I don't believe bumblebees grow much longer, than that, but I could be wrong.

Looking for tank companion...whats best??or nice?

i have one large black moor....he is used to having tank companions, but alas, his last friend died last night. so whats cool for my "little" guy?

1)the size of my tank doesnt matter [easily fixed]

2) i didnt exaggerate large...he is well beyond a healthy boy

3) i looked at plecos, and i really liked this golden nugget pleco, but holy cow too much $$$....so yea...[40$]Looking for tank companion...whats best??or nice?
Goldfish should only be housed with other goldfish. Plecos are tropical and despite how some petstores keep them they should not be housed with goldfish.

2 fancy goldfish should be kept in at least a 29 gal tank. A larger goldfish shouldn't be to hard to find if you want a fish of similar size as people are often looking to rehome them when they get too big
Plecos are every messy but so are gold fish so if you want a pleco make sure you have a good filter and do regular tank cleanings like vacume.

Gold fish do best with other goldfish. I would get another fancy gold fish.Looking for tank companion...whats best??or nice?
Do a google search on COLDWATER fish. Most minnows should be ok (as long as they're big enough to avoid being gobbled up). Other goldfish of similar body shape should be ok as well.
Black Moor, as in Goldfish? They aren't compatible with much of anyone (other than themselves) except a Loach or Plecostomus (or Koi).

Why are my potatoes green?

I bought this bag 3 days ago of golden nugget potatoes and put them in the fridge and went to cook some and half the bag of them are green. Did they go bad? :SWhy are my potatoes green?
Its because they were exposed to light, its not good to eat them now. The exposure to light caused increased production of a colorless alkaloid called solanine. The solanine can cause illness and in some cases death. I think that bag of potatos has a date with the trash can...
Potatoes turn green when left in the sun (like any other plant)

however, if it is too green it is dangerous to eat. Potatoes are part of the nightshade family (along with eggplants and tomatoes. Which is why tomatoes were originally thought to be poisonous. but I digress)

"Chlorophyll itself is not toxic; however, another response of the potato tuber to light exposure is increased production of a colorless alkaloid called solanine. The amount of solanine increases with the length of exposure and the intensity of light."

Also, potatoes should not be stored in your fridge. Potates should be stored in a dark cool cupboard. Hope that helps :)Why are my potatoes green?
Hi! See the following.

http://news.curiouscook.com/2006/08/gree鈥?/a>
No, just starting to get ready for spring sprouting. You should store potatoes in a cool dry place - not in the fridge which is where you went wrong. They are still edible and can be used as normal.
I think the potatoes On the blink, or when you buy in a period of rapid germination

  • What does this sentence mean?

I don't want to hide the golden nuggets of wisdom under piles of pluff that you can read for free on the internet. What does this sentence mean?
It has nothing to do with charging money, and "pluff" does not mean what the author thinks it means.

dictionary.com says: Pluff\, v. t. [Prob. of imitative origin.] To throw out, as smoke, dust, etc., in puffs. [Scot.]

Apparently the author of that sentence blended the words "fluff" and "puffery".

It could mean "I don't want to hide valuable wisdom by putting it on the internet, because the internet is full of pluff, and the pluff will get in the way (making the wisdom unavailable) or the pluff will degrade the value of the wisdom."

Or it could mean "I don't want to hide valuable wisdom under piles of pluff because pluff is free on the internet; therefore, I should hide valuable wisdom under something else."

I think it means "I am a moron."

It is a poorly written sentence. You should hide it under some pluff, if you find any.
I'm assuming that 'pluff' is 'fluff' and with that, my guess is that there's an author who wants their work to beat the quality of those free amateur writings you can find on the internet. This author takes pride in him/herself and believes that they possess some writing skill above those of an amateur.

Or am I just going off the deep end, here and thinking too much? What does this sentence mean?
I would like to share what I know to be true, but would like remuneration for its acquisition.
I don't want to charge money for something you could get for free somewhere else.

    Am I right?
    Exactly what Bre said.

Pregnant ladies, a must see fascinating fact!?

well i just been on the baby centre website checking out my babies progress and came along this little beauty, a golden nugget of information!

"In the Huichol tribe of Mexico, the presence of the baby's father [during labour] may be required so that a string can be tied round his testicles on which the woman can pull as each contraction mounts to a peak of pain." - Rediscovering Birth, Sheila Kitzinger.

anyone with me on trying this out!? think its better than meds!Pregnant ladies, a must see fascinating fact!?
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahhahahahha鈥?thats awesome.. I know my husband wouldn't think so though..
hahaha that's hilarious. I will definitley have my husband read this tonite!Pregnant ladies, a must see fascinating fact!?
Just thinking about that makes me HAPPY!!!!!
Hmmm... Interesting! But im not sure my hubby will be into it.
thats more funny than serious. knowing me, i might snatch his balls right off and have to visit him in the room down the hall because he's geting this balls sewed back on.
Yes I have heard this and whenever a man who is about to be a father is chastising me or being a jerk as a lot of men can be, I just threaten them with this. They pull into line quick smart and become the most supportive partners ever.
Mexican culture has ensured that males get equal pain when their women under go the delivery pangs

this may be to ensure that the males should not forget the pains woman undergoes. Males perceive woman as toy for their joy

but Mexicans, as a culture, have better insight in dealing with woman pains and psyche
The U.S. is behind in so many intelligent practices.
I personally would love to try that one.
    HAHA

I am due in Sept, and my husband will be coming home from Iraq for the birth, I can't wait to see his face when I tell him this one, and tell him I would like to use this method instead of pain meds!
LETS DO IT!!! Im gonna show that to my b abys father as soon as he gets home from work. Thank you for sharing that with us. Have a nice day
that was the funniest thing ive read all week.
I just had my third child he is two months and my husband wants to start on the fourth. I am fighting him on this because I feel three is enough and he has two children before me. But if we can use this in labor I will do number four in a heart beat.

    Good luck
I'd LOVE to try this one out. My husband left me two weeks after we found out I was pregnant with the child we'd been attempting to get pregnant with for nearly three years. He decided to go be with the little teenager he'd met in the behavioral hospital. She was there for sexually acting out.

Though, for those of you who still love and care about your significant other, I'd be wary of trying this if you still wanted other children. Sounds as if it might cause some damage.
Sounds good to me. My partner is already getting prepared for the pain I am going to inflict on him. He has already had to put up with a bit of pain as I hate needles and for every blood test and the like he has been pinched very hard.
HAHA HA HA THAT IS GREAT! and my bf wouldn't like it AT ALL... yeah, they're CHICKENSSSSSSS
HA HA! I can't wait to tell my fiance about this one!
Sounds like if it is a difficult birth that is how Mom ensures Dad does his part and gets a vasecotmy. so she doesn't have to go through that again. Brillant ! Lol
Wow I LOOVVVVEEEE IT I wonder if my boyfriend will let me try it out he probably will want to smack me for the idea lol what happened to the good ol days they need to establish this ritual again for these time and days
    omg I love it!!
Lol well although this might sound better as I'm actually giving birth, I kinda feel sorry for those dads because it's not really their fault, both parents share responsibility in a pregnancy.
    Dude, I'm there! LOL

I'm going to drop this nugget of knowledge on my hubby tonight when he gets home. Then I'm going to pack a spool of twine in the overnight bag for the hospital... and when I get there, I'm going to ask him to hand it to me with utter sincerity.

:) I'll let you know the expression on his face...
    Haha...that is priceless!!!
Sounds like fun...sign me up! :-)
Wow, that sounds really dangerous. I guess maybe you wouldn't need a vesectomy after that. Some women can pull really hard.
well a for trying it out, sounds good to me but i don't think the hubby would go for it. i read it to him and he said i don't think so. lol so i guess that i'm not going to get to try it out but hey it's a nice thought so that they can understand the pain that we are going through. lol...
that's awesome! i love it! hehe
    lol. wow never heard that.

i guess the men will go through pain just like the women in labor

How many calories, protein, carbs, fat how i eaten today?

how many calories, protein, carbs, fat hav i eaten today!

i need to shapen up my diet

can someone giv me a new diet?

how many calories etc.have i esten today here is what ive eaten...

breakfast: 100 grams of golden nuggets, 1 go ahead bar

    snack: 3 go ahead bars

lunch: scrambled egg and 4 slices of toast

snack: milkshake, 300 grams of low salted peanuts

    dinner: pizza

how many help???How many calories, protein, carbs, fat how i eaten today?
Umm golden nuggets, the best cereal. Sorry.

About 3200 calories, over a thousand come from the nuts. TUT TUT, Told you before LOL

130.5 of fat, over 85 is from the NUTS, THE NUTS.

I can't go on the NUTS, are going to make me have a fit, but all in all don't have that many... I can't say it
you gotta check whatever you ate for their carbs, protein, fat calorific value and than you can multiply the carbs and protein value by 5 and the fat by 9.How many calories, protein, carbs, fat how i eaten today?
Come on Adad. You know this was not a healthy. Aside from the eggs, you can toss out the rest. Lean chicken, turkey, tuna, eggs, green vegetables, apples, oranges, oatmeal, etc. Lay off all rice, pasta, go ahead bars, limit yourself to two slices of heavy grain bread daily, no pizza, peanuts, etc. It is not up to us to add your calories, fat, etc. It is up to you. Get a book (try weight watchers) and start planning your meals ahead of time. Good luck
probably a lot more than you think! It sounds fairly healthy but your quantities are too much.

4 go ahead bars!!! Im not sure what type but thats probably over 500 calories. 1 egg is about 80 and four slices of toast is about 400. Milkshake suprises people how many calories it can have - sometimes about 500! You need to snack on fruit and vege - like carrot sticks and stick to one go ahead bar! Dont just have pizza, make sure you get enough vegetables in your diet.

WTF DOES YAHOO ANSWER HAVE A "DAILY ANSWERING LIMIT"?!?

I mean, here I am, with a golden nugget of advice for a fleeting and inquisitive person, and I go to spill my fountain of wisdom into their mind, and I can't because I've reached my "daily answering limit"??? WELL.WTF DOES YAHOO ANSWER HAVE A "DAILY ANSWERING LIMIT"?!?
We get a different limit at each level. Its seems that Yahoo did not anticipate someone with your insight before conceiving the limit constraints. Check back tomorrow to add your uniqueness to the answer pool.
The reasons for the limits are twofold that I can think of.

First of all they limit new users to cut down on spam. If new accounts were allowed unlimited postings the site would soon be so polluted it would be hard to find legitimate Q%26amp;A,

Secondly the system is designed to give users goals to work towards. I suggest once you reach your daily answering limit you should vote your daily limit too, in order to gain points and levels quickly and increase your limits.WTF DOES YAHOO ANSWER HAVE A "DAILY ANSWERING LIMIT"?!?
Yahoo Answers has a problem with people who sit in front of their computers, entering the same answer again and again, mostly spam. Some of them think they are earning money this way, and some are just being annoying. Once you have answered enough questions with your golden nuggets of advice, you will graduate to the next level which allows you to ask and answer more each day.

If you look at the top of the screen above the word "Ask" you'll see the word "about". Click on it for the rules.
so people dont spam the Qs just to get points if there is a limit then you can only act like you know what your talking about 20x a day.
If that happened then I guess everyone would have an answer... right?

Yahoo doesn't want anybody abusing the privleged Its like a video game they want you to be frustrated
When you reach level 5 or higher, you can answer an unlimited number of questions.
spammers are limited to 20 spam posts per day

When you reach level 2, the daily limit increases to 40, and keeps going up per leel
I know right! I think when you get to a certain level(not sure which one) You can answer as many questions as you want :)
Its dumb i know but its to prevent people from just clicking on stuff and advertising products.
That's really interesting. I don't seem to have a daily answering limit. Maybe you'll grow out of yours too.
so that you don't waste your "fountain of wisdom" in one day. it must be dispersed to other y!a members.

He cant do much worse at middlesbourgh, so is?

gareth southgate going to get the england job.

thats how the golden nugget got hisHe cant do much worse at middlesbourgh, so is?
I was a big fan of Southgate the defender, but I think he is a tw@t as a manager, and will lose his job when Boro go down.
No your right he can't but Big Sam is next up for England...they made a big mistake rejecting him once...they are not going to let it happen again!!!He cant do much worse at middlesbourgh, so is?
    "Want to Bet?
    Who are 'middlesbourgh'?
Big Sam's the next man for the England job - that's why he went to Newcastle, bigger stage, chance of Europe etc. Tactical move.
SOUTHGATE HAS GOT TO BE THE MOST IRRITATING MANAGER IN THE PREMIERSHIP NOW THAT WARNOCK IS GONE. ABSOLUTELY CRAP.
hopefully they wont make the same mistake!!

altough it was england fans crying for an english manager and to get rid of ericsson ( whos proving a great success as a manager!).

big sam would probably be the only good english choice for the job or otherwise someone whos got the balls to pick a team without being told how to by the media

  • Las Vegas hotel's off the strip near Fremont Street?

Hello, I have been to the strip hotels a few times and now I would like to try something at/near Fremont Street. (never been there). Is the Golden Nugget near this area? Is the Fremont Hotel good? I will be staying Friday/Sat and going to the Bellagio on Sunday-Wed.

Also, are these hotels considered safe? I'm from a small town in FL, so I don't know much about these areas.

Any information would be appreciated.Las Vegas hotel's off the strip near Fremont Street?
Staying downtown is a good way to see how "Old" Vegas used to be. But don't wait too long to visit, it's about to change. Also, it's safe on Fremont Street where the hotels are. There's lots a security officers and police officers patroling 24 hours day and you're never far away from a casino. Good Luck and have a lot of fun!
Fremont street is in the downtown of L.V. It is way better than the strip. You don't need a car and it is pedestrian oriented. The light show each night is fantastic. Many nice hotel/casinos are there including the Golden Nugget. My favorite is Fitzgeralds. I know you will like it there. Good Luck!!!Las Vegas hotel's off the strip near Fremont Street?
The Golden Nugget is a good choice for a hotel located on Freemont Street between 1st ST and Casino Center DR.It was owned by the same company as the Bellagio and where Steve Winn got his start and is well kept up. You will enjoy the "Fremont Street Experiance" at night.I recomend the Friday night seafood buffet at The freemont hotel which is on the same corner as the golden nugget, And Hugos Celler resturant in the 4 queens.
In downtown I have stayed at the Plaza, Four Queens, and the Lady Luck. Of these, my favorite was the often overlooked Lady Luck. Its casino floor is nothing spectacular, but the tower rooms were clean, well-appointed, pleasant, and inexpensive. The Four Queens was OK, but there is no pool, the elevators are slow, and its parking garage is confusing. The Plaza has seen better days, and I think the rooms need to be redone. I've heard the Golden Nugget is nice and it was recently remodeled.
Downtown Las Vegas is a great area. It is "old" Vegas but very clean and not such a fast pace as the strip. The last time we were there we stayed at the Fitzgerald and found it very comfortable. Have fun!

Has anyone tried Fishing with cereal?

has anyone tried it- i mean cereal like golden nuggets or cornflakes; does it attract/catch carp and if so did it work well and what cereal?Has anyone tried Fishing with cereal?
wheties work all you have to do is crunch some up in your hand and add a little water and it gets like a bread ball and you can add any kind of flaveroring you want to
I think it would be difficult to attach it to your hook, however you could use it as a "binding" agent to make a kind of freshwater chum, as it would absorb all the fish juices and help keep it together, never tried it but just a suggestion if you really want to use cereal.Has anyone tried Fishing with cereal?
On my son's 6th birthday, we took him fishing at our local fish hatchery (his grandparents live out there) and he wanted to use his own bait. He took some doritos (cool ranch), a chunk of cake he rolled into a ball, and a potato from the tater salad. dead serious, he caught a bream with every single one! I've heard tell that corn pops work well for smaller fish as well and my husband has used a chunk of apple as a joke and caught himself a catfish with it. you never know and it never hurts to try!
i have tried fruitloops because you can just put the hook through the loop you have to put a sinker on it though becase it floats but no i didnt catch anything with it
sugar puffs for the win! they float and are a decent size for all fish and a hot summers day, try it and see what you think :)
mix wheaties with coke and tight line works **** for cats and carp

Does anyone have this creamed spinach recipe? ?

It was from the Golden Nugget casino in Las Vegas. I had dinner at a friend of my father-in-law's and his wife made it. She'd gotten the recipe when they were in Vegas and it was just wonderful. I only made it a couple of times, but I've since lost the recipe, and the woman passed away years ago. I tried searching on line with no luck. THanks!Does anyone have this creamed spinach recipe? ?

Why do people ask questions on here?

has no one noticed the upper right hand of the screen a search bar, that if you are in need of learning about intestinal problems to how to fix a washer machine all you have to do is type in a word or two and it gives you tons of links to something that should help you, or am i the only one who has discovered this golden nugget? Why do people ask questions on here?
Say it's an opinion question and someone has already asked, people may want to know more peoples opinions. You could search for it, but someone always has a different situation in this.
well sometimes it is easier getting other people's personal opinions. especially ones with experience in the subject of the question being asked......

you are asking why people ask questions on here.... so why are YOU asking? why don't you just go to the search bar and find out why people ask questions on here. Why do people ask questions on here?
because the people on here are less likely to be the kind of people an internet-wide search on something turns up.

well, you can find worse things than hey showed. by typing grover into the search box.

    it's SAFER.

and with a bit of luck and chance others will connect.
Because we want to type in our exact question that might be relayed differently than someone else.

    Which is the better value?

I plan on staying at either the Golden Nugget or Fitzgerald's; which is the better hotel for gaming/experience/rooms?Which is the better value?
That's not even close, the Golden Nugget is a very nice four star hotel. With very nice rooms, great restaurants, very nice pool, nice sports book, nice poker room, nice casino, etc.

    http://www.goldennugget.com

Fitzgeralds is a lower level two star hotel with a run down casino. There are 3 good things about the Fitz, they have a McDonald's, their Krispy Kreme donut shop has free Wi-Fi and they have "the" single highest paying slot(video poker) machine in all of Las Vegas.

Main Street Station and the Four Queens are the only two other hotels downtown that can even remotely compare to the Golden Nugget.

We prefer Main Street Station. Nice rooms(no not as nice as GN) but, MSS has far and away the better gaming(especially if you play video poker). Their two restaurants, Triple 7 %26amp; the Pullman Grille are not just good but great places to eat.

If you're a player, MSS will take care of you. We play 2-3 hours of quarter VP each, per day and we have never paid for one thing at MSS.

MSS buffet has been voted the best in LV several times and that's at a cost of 1/3 to 1/2 of the competition

    ~Jack~

Later: %26lt;added%26gt; If you want cheap, the El Cortez is a heck of a lot better deal than Fitzgeralds. You can stay for $15 a night with a coupon from the 2008 American Casino Guide(ACG)
    Fitzgeralds.Which is the better value?
Well, they aren't really in the same price range... Golden Nugget is a lot nicer, the rooms are beautiful :)... but Fitzgerald's is almost too affordable to pass up ;)

I've stayed at Fitz, its plain, but it gets the job done. The staff was super friendly and helpful... Stay at Fitz, and use the extra money to gamble with, or have a nice dinner. How often are you really in your hotel room anyway?
Golden Nugget it is a 5 star hotel and casino.

Fitzgeralds is a 2 star - in Vegas grand style a 2 star hotel is known as just one level above a cockroach hotel.

    Your favorite hotel in Vegas?

What's your fave? I've been there a few times (Mirage, Golden Nugget and Hooters (yes, Hooters) and am beginning to plan another trip. I love the Venetian but $$.Your favorite hotel in Vegas?
MGM and Mirage are very good IMO. Before you book check the current hotel promotion codes on http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com
Caesar's Palace. Beautiful rooms. We got an airline discount on our room and it included the biggest bathroom I've ever seen! The actual toilet itself was in a separate small room from the jacuzzi and shower.

You can get pretty great bargains on hotel rooms on priceline.com if you don't mind being a little risky and not knowing the exact hotel you will be getting but do a search by the number of stars and by naming your price.

    Your favorite hotel in Vegas?
if money is an issue Circus Circus is the best, cheap and right on the strip, plus you cant beat the low table min and $1.50 1/2lb hot dogs at Slots-A-Fun right next door! I stayed there when I went for my 21st bday and thats really the only place I'll stay, I think its a waste to spend a lot of money on a nice hotel room when you arent in it most the time you're there anyways
Palazzo, because the rooms are huge and beautiful, and the casino is spacious.
    New York New York
I love the Mirage super resort good value and great service
    the Bellagio of course.
My 1st fav is Stardust... but no longer here. Now, I like the Tropicana!!

My sister-in-law just got married in July in Las Vegas so congratulations on the marriage. As for the Bridal shower, we stayed at the flamingo hotel so you can do flamingo cookies or cupcakes, the Trump building is a tricky one so maybe you can do a green money theme for something cheap cause we all know who's got all the green! Planet hollywood can maybe be little meatball planets! Don't know how you'll make them though, but i'm sure your creative just throwing ideas. There's the Bellagio and their fountains so maybe you can do a drink that is served like a fountain of red punch or something! Well, here is a few ideas just think of a hotel with a casino and let your imagination take hold. She did this game with cards, give everyone a card from a deck. Then with another deck select a card and the winner gets a price. Another was with lottery tickets in an envelope cause the whole lucky theme and good fortune at the casino's. Well HAPPY MARRIAGE and prosperity!! Have fun with it!! I'm sure you'll do just fine!Hey im having a bridal shower with a las vegas theme?
not the name of a casino, but you could peel up every other couple of cm's of vegetables like zucchini and carrots...slicing them into round circles for a dip of sorts...the contrasting colors on each round slice will look like chips one would use at any casino...

Does anyone have a fear of never hearing a particular song again?

Sometimes I hear a song on the radio or something that just strikes a magical chord with me, and I can't find the name of the artist or the title. These are usually old songs or obscure songs. Does anyone have similar feelings?

Sometimes I get a chance to hear the song again and then it's like I found a golden nugget. Sometimes a popular band or singer will do a remake and then I get a chance to find the original artist and song, like the version of 'Last kiss' by Pearl Jam. I had heard the song before, maybe once or twice around the time a friend of mine died in a car crash (long before the Pearl Jam version) and then I didn't hear it again until Pearl Jam's remake.

My dad and I were working together one day and the P.J. version came on. My dad asked me "Who's this?" and I told him, "Pearl Jam, you know, that band you call 'headhunter music', but it might be a solo by the lead singer Eddie Vedder, so I heard. He went to get a couple of ice teas and put on the original.Does anyone have a fear of never hearing a particular song again?
I have that feeling a lot. I feel as though finding the title of the song in question and the artist is an urgent need... and I do often experience a feeling somewhat like fear that I'll never hear the song again and that I won't be able to find it. I wish the radio would announce stuff like that...
Yes, I do but you have to remember some parts of the lyrics and google it and youll probably find that song.Does anyone have a fear of never hearing a particular song again?
I can't wait for my children to tell me I listen to oldies. LOL. Can you imagine some of this music today ever sounding like the 50's? I mean we would look like fools to our children dancing to Fergie. The joys of getting old.
I'm always afraid that I'll never get to hear a song again. I listen to internet radio and it doesn't always give you the artist or name so I find myself frantically searching for lyrics all over the internet.

It's suprisingly unhelpful when it comes to looking up obscure lyrics.

    :(
My favorite radio station posts play lists! The play lists are found on their website and you can find out the song and artist of a song that is being played right now or 3 weeks ago!

KRCL 90.9. Utah's Independent Radio! You will find no other radio station like it! No Sean Hannity, no Rush, no O Riley! Just music! Be warned though ..... you will love it! Listen to it online! KRCL 90.9 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Streaming Live!!!
I have a fear of losing songs that I write.

I record everything constantly, even if its just a simple progression played in a certain way just so I don't lose it. (Then I'm so horribly unorganized with my blank tapes I end up having to dig through piles and bags of unlabeled tapes just to find this one part I wrote two weeks ago.)

I'm more laid back with it these days, but if a certain part that I really like hits me, I grab the tape recorder almost immediately. I got in to this habit a long time ago after losing several songs to my swiss cheese memory.

I hear you on the obscure stuff too.

I get songs that run through my head all the time from the past that I wish I still had.

(Sometimes you'll get lucky and find it online and it makes your whole day!)
Saw a song on the Jools Holland show once. It was just a guy at a piano. It sounded like a great song but I do not know the artist or the title. It might have been Ben Folds' and the song title might contain the word 'secret'.

I doubt I will ever know.

By the way, I am pretty sure that Last Kiss was a PJ effort, as opposed to a Vedder solo cover.
No, I've always gotten all the songs I wanted. I had lots of them from the 50's, 60's and 70's anyway. I'm in my 50's so its not been really hard to get what I wanted, cuz I usually bought it as it was out or ordered from these oldies web sites, or at the time we ordered through the mail. I've been lucky thus far and I have a huge collection of music, all genres, but rap, no way! I have rock, jazz, blues, country, alternative/punk, easy listening/pop, 40's swing, disco, R%26amp;B, lots!

For breakfast? leaving tomorrow for car journey-early start, which one?

    peanut butter on wholemeal toast

    ginger conserve on wholemeal toast

    cereal choices:

    cookie crisp

    golden nuggets

    fruit n fibre

    bran flakes

    oatabix

    with soya milk or yogurt....

    apple and cinnamin porridge

    banana porridge

    malt loaf slice

    pain au raisin

    yogurt, oat, banana raisin smoothie

banana soy milkFor breakfast? leaving tomorrow for car journey-early start, which one?
A bowl of porridge is the best kind of breakfast you can have.

It will stop you wanting to spend a fortune on an over priced breakfast at the service's.

You can also add a banana or some raisins for a change.

    Happy travelling!!!
Wow you have a lot of choices to choose from! In my opinion, I would have the toast, cookie crisp, some yogurt and the banana soy milkFor breakfast? leaving tomorrow for car journey-early start, which one?
Banana porridge, both of these release energy slowly which will make sure you aren't hungry on the journey!
If you are going off on holiday then you had better eat up all the things that will have gone off before you get back! You won't need to eat again all day.
you need something with reasonably high energy but is quick to eat.

I would go for the malt loaf slice. just one slice should give you enough energy =]
Bran flakes or porridge, both will keep you full for a long time, take fruit too, incase you wanna snack.
Have something that will fill you up, apple and cinnamin porridge sounds best.
a cup of tea/coffee toast then after a while stop at a transport cafe for a good full English
Any kind of porridge will set you up for the day
you are way to healthy go with a warm cinnamon bun It always hits the spot

Downtown las vegas, cheapest places to eat and drink?

hello, we will be staying golden nugget april 12 for 3 nights. first time ever to vegas. where are the best cheapest place to eat and drink when not gambling. we like bar and grill , tiki bars, country bars, just shorts and tee shirt places. thank you for any helpDowntown las vegas, cheapest places to eat and drink?
    Binions.

Lady I worked with went with her BF on Valentine's Day.

What a meal. She was raving about the place and it was like $50 for the two of them.

Great views too.Downtown las vegas, cheapest places to eat and drink?
You'll be on Freemont and that is where you'll find some cheap places! Also, check out Margaritaville, I believe it's across from the Flamingo Hilton. Also, not sure if they do it anymore because of the ecomony, but be sure to ask the front desk at the hotel for the "fun book" or "coupon book".

  • Is Las Vegas for adults only?

I am 14 and my mom wants to take me and my little sister to Las Vegas because of their "amazing hotels and shows." I think it sounds fun because we are into stuff like that but I'm scared we will be the only "kids" there and it might be awkward. The two hotels we were looking at are called The Golden Nugget, and The Flamingo if anyone knows anything about them.Is Las Vegas for adults only?
There are lots of kids here though not like Disneyland. There are lots to do and you can find things to do on the following webpage. Golden Nugget is downtown and I don't recommend there a downtown has less for kids than the strip. Flamingo is right in the middle of the strip and would be a better choice.
The Golden Nugget is more of an adult hotel and there aren't as many things for kids to do downtown. The Flamingo has a large swimming pool and real pink flamingos. It is also in the best location in town - Mid-Strip. It is close to shopping, attractions, shows and plenty of things for kids to do. And by the way, you will see plenty of kids in Las Vegas. Is Las Vegas for adults only?
There are tons of kids in Vegas, and there are plenty of things for kids to do. It's not a place that is geared toward kids and families, but there are things there to do.

Of those hotels, I would suggest Flamingo. It's an older hotel, but nice and in a great location. The pool area is a good one. Golden Nugget is downtown, which attracts an older crowd and more locals. There aren't a lot of things for kids downtown.
Do what Vegas teenagers do visit the national parks that surround Las Vegas. Just to name a few: Red Rock, Lake Mead, Valley of Fire. Explore the park before you come by looking at VegasNature.com

Can anyone share with me on Omaha High Low Poker?

The exact origin of the game is unknown, but casino executive Robert Turner first brought Omaha into a casino setting when he introduced the game to Bill Boyd who offered it as a game at the Las Vegas Golden Nugget CasinoCan anyone share with me on Omaha High Low Poker?
Omaha High Low Poker games are often played High/low split, with and eight-or-better qualifier for low. Players may use two different cards from their hand to make a low, and two different hand cards to make a high, as well as three different board cards to make their high hand and three different ones to make their low hand. The can also use the same three card/two card combination to make both their high and low hands.

Does anyone know a good hotel in Vegas? ?

I've been staying in the Golden Nugget for 30 years, however for this visit, I found out that they can put you in a double room even if your reservation is for a king AND that there is no room in valet parking OR self parking! It is all full. I am miserable here. Price is no object. Please tell me the best place to stay! I have to get out of here.Does anyone know a good hotel in Vegas? ?
MGM and Mandalay are great IMO. Have you checked http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com ? You will find there the latest promotion codes for various hotels.
If price is no object, I suggest any of the mega-resorts on the strip. Bellagio, Wynn, MGM, Caesars Palace, etc.Does anyone know a good hotel in Vegas? ?
If you want a casino, I suggest the Station Casinos, like Boulder Station, on the boulder highway, or Sunset Station in Henderson, if you want a hotel, I suggest the Residence Inn, on Dean Martin Drive.

try bally's, flamingo, harrah's ti. mirage, luxor, mirage, they're all nice , clean and should have what you're looking for, prices aren't to bad either, if you don't want to do a lot of walking on the strip take the monorail, the buffets are all decent except for bally's who no longer offer one but do have a good deli and cafe that's open 24 hrs.....good luck, i hope things look up for you
almost next door to you is the 4 Queens,,,,much cheaper and the rooms are great! during the week they are 29 a night if bought online.
The Mandalay Bay is GREAT!!!! My husband and I stayed there, and it has access to the Luxor as well as Excalibur. The pool area is called The Beach, and the rooms are beautiful. Good luck. Feel free to send a message to let me know how you like it. When we go back to Vegas we are definitely staying there again.
My favorite has to be the Palms. Gorgeous view, LOTS of entertainment, and very very good food.

Can I put these fish together?

I want to put these fish together Rummy Nose tetra, Neon tetra, Penguin tetra, Hachetfish, Rosy barb, sailfin molly, swordtail, angelfish, blood parrot, Golden Nugget plec. Please give me advice?!!Can I put these fish together?
Tetras are peaceful, eat all foods, like moderately soft slighty acid (pH below 7) water, 78 degrees

Hatchetfish also like moderately soft slightly acid water. The Blackwinged Hatcherfish are small, delicate and peaceful. They can be kept in a community tank but do best with their own kind. The Silver Hatchetfish is more robust and will do better in a community tank than the Blackwinged.

Rosy barbs are peaceful but rather boisterous, should not be kept with very small fish (Neons can do fine with them). They like near neutral to slightly alkaline (pH above 7), moderately hard water

Sailfin mollies like brackish, (part fresh part salt) hard alkaline (pH above 7) and will not do well in solft acid water. In fact it will over a month or so kill them.

Swordtails are boisterous fish inclined to chase and bully other fish. They should only be kept with fish their own size. They like slightly alkaline, moderately hard water and will not do well in soft acid (low pH) water.

Anglefish are not critical of the pH and can do well in both soft or hard water as long as they are not changed quickly from one to the other. They are very peacful and can be kept in a community tank but remember they do grow to about 5 inches and small fish will loook like food. I have kept angels in a tank with guppies but after they were about a year old I had to give them there own tank because of their size.

I don't know much about Blood parrots but they do grow to be 8 to 10 inches and live for about 10 years so make sure your tank is big enough and they will see smaller fish as food.

Golden nugget pleco - grows to about 8 in. Plecos tend to be peaceful but their size can be a problem if your tank is small.

So as you can see keeping all these particular fish in one tank will be a chanllenge. I suggest you google each type to get more information than I've given here. Decide what fish you like the best and find tank mates that fit in with the conditions required by the fish you like best.
Yeah they pretty much all sound like they can go together, the angelfish might not be sucha good idea though, i had them and they tormented my other fish. Can I put these fish together?
    http://www.liveaquaria.com/general/fwcompatibility_chart.cfm

    Hope this helps
Yes, but your tank will need to be pretty big to accomadate all of those tetras, hatchets, and barbs in proper schools, and your cichlids together in the same tank and with all those different fish. What size tank is it???
Keep in mind that all of those Tetras need to be in groups of 5+ of their own species, same with the Hatchets... To do that, you would need a massive tank... Also, the Angels will eventually make a meal out of the Neons, maybe the Rosy Barbs, and possibly the Blood Parrot. We REALLY need to know how big your tank is, or we can't tell you much of anything... All the fish are compatible except the Angels and Parrots (they will both slowly eat the Tetra schools until you have only the biggest Tetras)... Email me with updates or questions.

    Soop Nazi

EDIT: They are called Hillstream Loaches, not Hillstream Plecos.
I don't know what size of tank you have, but you need a huge one

Everything can go together besides the bloodparrots, they get to big for any of the other fish you want and are cichlids and have whole different other needs then the ohters

    Hope that helps

    good luck

    EB

    Feel free to email me
yeah but you might want a big tank
It depends largely on the size of the tank. Still, I'd say no to the swordtail and parrot, maybe the barbs. Get small angelfish and they should stay okay with the tetras. You'll need a tight cover on the aquarium as hatchetfish are jumpers and considered a flying fish. Swordtails also require a tight cover. This means no openings. You may be able to keep the swordtails in there, but I wouldn't.

Realize too that the sailfin molly can get up 5-6".
Rummy nose tetras, rosy barbs, angelfish, and blood parrots might not be a great idea to the the swordtails neon %26amp; penguin tetra, and hatchetfish. Rummynoses, barbs, and mollies are known to be bad fin nippers, and Angelfish and blood parrots are cichlids (usually semi-aggressive or aggressive fish) and they will probably eat your smaller tetras. The pleco will be fine, but I'd mostly recommend a rubbermouth, zebra, tiger, butterfly, or hillstream pleco since they are smaller. Most plecos tend to get over a foot long, and crowd up the tank. If u have any more questions, please ask me. I've been through TONS of fish.
The tetras, pleco, molly and swordtail would do okay together in a tank and the hatchetfish would be fine in there with them because they tend to stay at the top of the tank, but you will run into a few problems with the blood parrot and angelfish. They are both cichlids and can be aggressive towards other fish, especially smaller ones (the neon tetras would be appetizers to the parrots). Also, angelfish are very picky about water quality and tankmates, so they would probably end up stressing and dying. If you really want angels, they should have their own setup.

    Which hotel would be best?

I'm planning to go to Las Vegas in late March with my family and my two kids.(12 and 16) I can't decide which hotel would be best the Golden Nugget,Flamingo,Mandalay Bay or the Excalibur. Our budget is about $1600 for the whole trip. Also if you have any other suggestions I'd like to know. Thanks!Which hotel would be best?
I would choose Excalibur in your situation. While Vegas isn't really family-friendly per se, Excalibur is one resort that caters more to families than some others. There are things for older kids/teens to do in there, and it's also across from NYNY, which has an arcade and coaster.

Really, they are all decent choices though. Golden Nugget is probably the nicest downtown hotel, but downtown isn't going to be a lot of fun for the teens. The pool also won't likely be open yet, and it's a big draw at Golden Nugget. Flamingo is nice enough, and has a great location - again, not a ton for kids to do and the pool is closed in March. Same for Mandalay - the pool area there is GREAT, but it won't be open either.

So I'd choose Excalibur - it's a nice enough place in a decent location, and most likely to keep your kids happy. Check out the Tournament of Kings dinner show there!

    EDIT:

The pools may be open earlier, weather-permitting. But they are not year-round pools.

Excalibur rooms are a bit dated, but they've been updating lately and aren't too bad. They're clean, and well enough appointed. It's not by any means the nicest place on the strip, but it's fine.
Forget Golden Nugget because it is downtown and that is for gamblers and not kids. Flamingo and Mandalay Bay have great pool areas. Excalibur is a bit more kid friendly as it has a kids court in the lower level. I would recommend Excalibur for just that fact and is probably the cheapest of the ones you mentioned.Which hotel would be best?
    Mandalay Bay http://hubpages.com/hub/Mandalay-Bay-Las…

    by a huge margin.

Golden Nugget is just as upscale as Mandalay Bay but you don't want to stay downtown, especially with kids. There's nothing for kids to do downtown; it's geared toward serious gamblers.

Flamingo is in a great location center strip but the rooms are fairly plain unless you upgrade to a GO room, and one room may not be large enough for four or more people.

Excalibur might appeal to the 12 year old but probably not the 16 year old or your husband.

Mandalay Bay has huge rooms with a nice modern decor. But it's the southernmost strip resort.

Children aren't allowed in casinos (except just to walk through on their way to the elevators or whatever) so Flamingo might be a better choice for you just because it's in close walking distance to Caesars Forum Shops, Fashion Show Mall, Venetian Canal Shoppes and Planet Hollywood Miracle Mile. Definitely get a GO room or better if you choose Flamingo though.
I'm 16 years old. I've been going to Vegas every year since I was 1 and a half. They most inexpensive one is Excalibur. For the Kids they have the the arcade downstairs and the 4d movie theater (went to that was very fun). The golden Nugget is downtown....they have an AMAZING pool. Your kids will love it. Downtown does not have as much things for kids to do. It's great to visit while you are there but with kids there are more attractions on the strip. Flamingo is on the strip....Another amazing pool in the middle of the strip so that's good access to everywhere. Mandalay Bay amazing pool....but expensive. I'd say either Excalibur or the Flamingo. I'm tired of people saying there is nothing to do for kids in Vegas or it's not a family city. These are my tips and suggestions on things you can do. Vegas has some of the BEST roller coasters ever. I suggest the ones on top of the stratosphere and the one at new york new york. There are so many free things to do....there are free shows the pirate show at Treasure Island....(I do admit over time it has become a little racy but not a lot)...the Volcano eruption at the mirage not that interesting but something to do....You have the fountains at the Bellagio which are beautiful! Those are all FREE! You can take a Gondola ride in the Venetian...even a walk through the venetian is an attraction it looks exactly like Venice. Go to Madame Tussauds wax museum to see your favorite celebrities. There are plenty other things to do...if you need more info just contact me!
The mandalay bay is beautiful, the excalibur would be good too for the kids but their not really young so i guess mandalay bay is the best suggestion.

Dont go to flamingo, i stayed there and its really dirty and not really fun. trust me

    GOODLUCK!:)

Going to Vegas for 3 days, how much $$ will we need?

We are seeing a comedy show at the Golden Nugget and dinner at the Stratosphere on Friday night, a little gambling, a gondola ride.....how much do we really need just for Thurs, Friday and Saturday morning??? This is a trip for my husband and I.....Going to Vegas for 3 days, how much $$ will we need?
I'm hoping you have reservations for the show and most especially for the Top of the World Stratosphere restaurant...that place fills up really quickly, especially on weekend eves. Don't expect to call and get a table the same day on a Friday. And expect to spend at least $75-100 for your meal there for the two of you. For the rest of your meals which will hopefully be more modest, figure about $40-50 each meal total for you both.

The , gambling budget is up to your particular tastes. The hotel cost you should already know. The standard comedy show will probably cost you about $40 per ticket. Oh and don't forget transportation costs...it costs about $15 each way to take a taxi from the downtown area (Golden Nugget) to the Strip (Stratosphere). If you have extra, a $50 shopping budget for each of you would be good.

So there ya go. Do the math above to find out what you need...and then bring double that amount if you can...unexpected expenses are common on ANY vacation. But save the second half of that somewhere in a separate section of your purse or bag to be used strictly for emergency purposes.
$200 a day for the both of you will be fine on this trip.Going to Vegas for 3 days, how much $$ will we need?
How much are you planning on gambling??????

You can go and to the scenic walking tour of all the hotels and not spend a penney.

You really just need money for food. If this is your first trip to Vegas, can I just say that those gondola rides are pricey about $100 if I remember correctly. Also, there is a place in Vegas called 1/2 price tickets where you can buy tickets for that day at a discount - this fills up the seats and everyones happy!
After you pay for the hotel I suggest one days pay for every 24 hours in Las Vegas.
Try to figure out about how much your Show, dinner and gondola ride will be.

then add about 100 dollar per day per person for extras.

For gambling figure on what amount you don't mind losing. Since I'm not a big gambler, I plan on about 50 bucks a day.

I play for fun only, I know my chance of winning is small so I use it as entertainment

I always take a bit extra in case something comes up. I always can put it back in the bank when I get home.

I always seem to have that money when I leave.

    Have fun!
    As much as you've got.

It depends on your tastes and shopping habits. We always blow at least $1000 in a couple days, and we don't gamble.

There are much better restaurants than Top of the World at Stratosphere, if that's where you are going. Unless you just want to see the view. The food isn't so good but it is $$$$.

There is so much shopping available, and restaurants will suck your wallet dry. Shows are so much, but worth it! See a Cirque show like O or Ka; they are amazing, although tix are like $150 last I knew. Each. The gondola rides at the Venetian are about $15, the last I saw. You can easily just watch them as well, and you won't have to imagine trading the chlorine-pool/cigarette smoke smell for the other, more natural smells of Venice. The half-price ticket counter is mostly just for odd, 2nd or 3rd-rate shows, not top performers or Cirque shows, for example. There are tons of free things to do, like just walking through all the resorts. Bellagio fountains are still my favorite.
Do you already have the tickets to the show?

The gondola ride is $12.50 to $15 per person if you and your husband take the ride with two other people or $50 to $60 if you want a private ride.

Now for dinner at the Stratosphere. If you eat at Fellini's or Roxy's, you can expect to pay about $15 or less. If you eat at Top of the World, dinner per person is about $35 and up.

Gambling is a different story. You'll have to decide how much you will be comfortable spending at the casinos each day.

I hope this helps. Enjoy your vacation.
Realistically speaking, a comedy show @ Golden Nugget runs approx. $25-$50 (give or take), dinner @ the Stratosphere (depends on where you dine) can be $50-$150 (to be safe), Gondola rides @ the Venetian were $15/person (inside) and $12.50/person (outdoors) and gambling is $100/day minimum. Add this all up and you can spend $500-$600. Not including your hotel room for 3 nights, etc. For 3-days, I would bring approx. $500-$1000 just in case.
I have actually had a good time in Las Vegas for less than $100 a day. It's all about knowing where to go. I am not much of a gambler but there are tons of free attractions http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/free-attr鈥?/a> and free stuff.

With any of my shy adopted babies, strawberry Yogies work wonders, they definitely seem to be a favorite in my colony! If I shake the container, they will wake up and come straight to the door. Definitely a training treat. For healthier treats you can try any types of fruits (minus citrus), veggies, hard noodles, chocolate chips, and just about anything that *isn't* on the forbidden list.

If you try peanutbutter (which I don't suggest), make sure you mix it either with jelly/jam, water, baby food, just something watery that will thin it out so they do not choke on it.

    Happy feeding!
Try fruit or veggies as treats they sell yogurt drops at pet stores too those are good too, I never gave mine cereal i would not recommend it due to the sugar that cereals have in them, But ours loved greens from outside such as clover. Do some research online or look up a vet in your area that treats small mammals and ask them what is safe :)What can i give my rat as a special treat?
Well they actually sell rat treats at pet stores like petco but more likely petsmart. Its like Scooby snacks for your rat ive seen them before.
NOT ALL THE TIME, but on special occasions, you could give them a little peanut butter. I would say around 1/2 tea spoon. they love it.

Golden Nugget - the only 4-star hotel downtown.

Just wait'll you see the pool!
Hands Down! The Golden Nugget, I love that hotel - and I love being down town.Next year, we麓re staying downtown when visiting Vegas-where would you stay and why?
hands down--Golden Nugget. It also very reasonable priced for beeing the nicest hotel downtown. The food is the best! They also have a spa.
the golden nugget is the coolest and fanciest hotel, but be sure to get over to the California for Hawaiin dishes like eggs/rice/linguica for breakfast- yum!
golden nugget by a country mile, best hotel downtown, one of the best in the whole of las vegas btw.

i cannot believe you listed Western and gold spike (better to sleep in your car than in those two dumps).

tower rooms at el cortez are nice, main street station and fremont are very decent hotels but golden nugget should be your only choice
I stayed at the Plaza. I wasn't that impressed with it. My next trip I will stay downtown again. I just got back, %26amp; stayed on the Strip. There wasn't anything close, you had to walk a LONG way to get to another casino.
I agree with most everyone that the Golden Nugget is a very nice 4 star hotel. If your main interest is the pool, then I would stay at the GN.

    Check out the GN pool

    http://www.goldennugget.com or

http://www.vegas.com/resorts/pools/index鈥?/a> %26gt;for info %26amp; photos of most of the pools in LV

But, my favorite downtown is Main Street Station. That is, if you like to gamble, eat and be treated well.

Main Street Station has much better gambling, especially video poker. MSS is also the best hotel/casino in all of LV for comps. We play a few hours of quarter 9/6 JOB video poker there every day and they give us rooms free and we have never paid for a meal.

MSS has nice rooms and the casino is incredible - They have so many antiques, artifacts and artwork that MSS should qualify as a museum.

Just some of what they have

Fireplace from Preswick Castle - The Pullman Grill restaurant was actually built around the fireplace.

Bronze Doors %26amp; Facade from the Royal bank of Kuwait

Entry doors from the Pullman Mansion

Stained glass %26amp; Chandeliers from all over the world

    "Goddess Fortuna" %26gt;beautiful statue

    Section of the Berlin Wall

"The Wild Boar" - From Nice France

    Several restored rail cars

And many more - MSS has a brochure so that you can locate and identify them all.

The Garden Court buffet is the best value buffet in all of LV for both lunch %26amp; dinner. They don't put as much effort into breakfast.

The Triple 7 brew pub %26amp; restaurant - Great food and $1 draws after Midnight - Their $7 prime rib dinner(after 4pm) is a super bargain, the menu says 8oz, don't believe it, this is a very large, very good steak. Don't order the large(16oz) unless you're an NFL lineman or eat like one.

The Pullman Grille is IMO the best value steakhouse in all of LV - Great food, great service, awesome setting, very reasonable prices. Only open Wednesday through Sunday for dinner.

The people who work at MSS make the hotel as much as the hotel itself.

We go to LV 2-3 times a year for 2 weeks or more at a time and have for over 20 years. We were in LV from 6/4 to 7/5 and stayed at MSS for 11 nights. We are going back in December and they have already comped us 4 nights for New Years.

I would stay at The Golden Nugget because it's a 4 or 5 star hotel. The pool is nice and service is very good.
Gold Spike because it's the cheapest and it's within walking distance of a movie theater.

Best value las vegas show on april 12 to 19?

hello, me and my wife will be in las vegas april 12 to 19 for are first time. We are looking for the best show and where to get 2 for 1 deals. we will be staying at golden nugget but will get ride to see it. we are in are 30's. any help from people that are there now or been there will help. thank youBest value las vegas show on april 12 to 19?
    LOL

    REAL and REALISTIC answer...

In MY opinion, the BEST SHOWS are your "Le Reve" or "O" types of shows...even LOVE is shockingly good and impressive (saw it recently, NOT a McCartney fan, and 'okay' with Beatles songs...but WOW, very good show...fun, high energy and amazing spectacular of costumes and talent!).

You will NOT find The BEST shows at 2-for-1 prices.

You WILL find 2-for-1 tickets, you WILL find "1/2 priced tickets" etc...but they are ONLY for the "mid-tier and below" shows. The BEST DISCOUNTS you can get with the BEST SHOWS will be around 25-30% off...depending on the show and the dates...and WHERE you sit in the showroom.

Now, I KNOW people may say I'm wrong...but I REALLY DO THIS FOR A LIVING (part of what I/we do)...so, unless someone can actually buy you...actual tickets...for "the best" show at 2-for-1...I wouldn't necessarily believe them.

Beyond that...if you are just looking for the "best value" shows...those are definitely Do-Able..."Mystere" is a great show, commonly called the "Best Value for your money show in Vegas"...and a great 1st "Cirque Du Soleil show". THAT is usually one of the 1st ones to look for.

Oh,...and there are 2-for-$99 deals that are GOOD shows...just the ones I called "the best" are excluded, of course.Best value las vegas show on april 12 to 19?
Go to "O" at the Bellagio! It has stuff to appeal to many different people and all the seats are very good! Also I've heard "Mystere" at TI is very good!

  • Which las vegas hotel is the best?

hi im a 13 year old girl and im going to las vegas with my parents. WE are planning our hotel and these are our choices: golden nugget, circus circus, stratosphere, riviera. Could you please pick from one of these hotels? thanks in advance :)Which las vegas hotel is the best?
Although the rooms at Circus Circus aren't the newest, nor the nicest, they are clean and comfortable. More importantly, Circus Circus has a "Midway" with carnival-type atrractions and games. This, plus the free circus acts makes this a hotel a good bet for someone under 21.
Golden Nugget is ok but it such a bore for young people like you or for people with some taste. I also think it's overcroweded and overpriced.

Out of the few choices you include, given that you sound like a family, Stratosphere would be the best choice in that it offers something for everybody, although if you are 13 Circus Circus would offer the best arcade and many things to do for someone your age (it's a family - oriented resort). I would avoid Riviera.

If budget is an issue, you may also try Excalibur (the location is a little better), sometimes they have good offers. However, I must say that some adults do like Golden Nugget, however it is downtown rather than on the Strip.

If your parents want to gamble than Stratosphere has the better casino of that group. Excalibur have a better pool area, amongst the budget resortsWhich las vegas hotel is the best?
== Circus Circus Hotel it is the best...

= The “Best Value on The Strip!”

Centrally located and invitingly decorated, our 3,770 deluxe rooms promise all the comfort and convenience you would expect from a full-service Las Vegas hotel with all the round-the-clock excitement of a Las Vegas casino.

All our Las Vegas hotel rooms include:

    Cable TV and pay channels

    Hairdryers

    Iron and ironing board

    Wireless internet available
Of those four I would go with

1 - Golden Nugget / Nice pool, nice rooms, Fremont Street Experience

    2 - Stratosphere Tower

    3 - Riviera

    4 - Circus Circus

I would suggest taking a look at the Orleans, if you haven't already

    http://www.orleanscasino.com

They have an 18 screen movie theatre, 70 lane bowling alley, an arcade, the Orleans arena for concerts and sporting events, one of my fav buffets, especially for the $$. The rooms are oversized and very nice.
Out of these hotels, Golden Nugget is the nicest but it's in downtown, not on the strip. There is not much for a 13yo to do in downtown. Golden Nugget does have a nice pool but you can't spend much time there when days are over 110F.

Decide what your budget is and look for hotels that meet the budget. My guess is that there is more than just these that you can stay at. And if these are the only ones in your budget, look for a vacation elsewhere.
Golden Nugget, but you should get something on the Strip, such as:

    New York New York

    Bellagio

    MGM Grand

    Paris

    Mirage %26lt;---------- it's SO GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS, there is plenty to do for a 13 year old girl in Vegas. I've been going since I was 9!

ALSO: WARNING: There are these Mexican guys always standing around yelling "Girls! Girls! Get your girls!" and they throw slips of paper on the ground about the size of a business card, and they have girls showing off their huge **** (they're censored) I had the bad luck of falling on one. Ugh.
Palms Place Hotel And Spa Las Vegas - 4381 West Flamingo Road
Golden Nugget but you should consider hotels on the strip like the bellagio, paris, new york new york...
    Golden Nugget and Circus Circus

If I had to choose a hotel, I would pick Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand or The Venetian.
Of your choices, The Golden Nugget is acceptable. The others are all dumps.
Golden Nugget has the best rooms out of all the hotels you listed. lol

    I would choose Golden nugget

Best Hotel to stay at in Las Vegas on the strip?

Am thinking about going to Vegas at the end June to watch the boxing. A lot of Hotels are fully booked (Bellagio, Wynn, Mandalay Bay etc) but of the following, which is the best: The Mirage, MGM Grand (and MGM Grand Signature), Golden Nugget, Paris and the New York, New YorkBest Hotel to stay at in Las Vegas on the strip?
out of your list , its got to be the Mirage just for its central strip location and the free show right outside
i'd would not stay on the strip- consider some of the off strip hotels. My fav hotel in Vegas is The Orleans, about a mile down Tropicana. Easy to get to all parts of the strip and no strip traffic :)Best Hotel to stay at in Las Vegas on the strip?
I love the MGM grand, New York New York is the more "hip" hotel because its always alive...hence the city that never sleeps. But MGM is my top pick.

The MGM Grand Signature is fantastic. My bf and I loved it when we stayed there and we had the perfect view of the pool, which is also by far the best pool in my opinion. There spa is awesome too!
i stayed at the stratsphere in 2005. great views from the tower.
I stayed at Circus Circus. Its pretty good, but i dont like the smoking
The service is just excellent at the MGM GRAND . The suites are great with the large whirlpool baths big enough for two with plenty of room for fun.........
    MIRAGE

Without a doubt. The numerous restaurants are fabulous, and if you fancy like eating junk food, there's a Denny's just across the road in the Casino Royale.

The rooms and bathrooms are HUGE and it is exceptionally clean, significantly cleaner than those on Freemont St.

However, the J W Marriott hotel is not on the strip, it is just to the...northwest ( I think) of it on Rampart Blvd but it is seriously the best hotel that I have ever been in in my entire life.

The rooms are even bigger than the Mirage's and the pool...oh my god is bigger than most streets.

It would be best to have a car to get to it, but I think there's a bus to and from the strip.

It's also near the big Las Vegas mall.
MGM Grand. My parents and i stay at this hotel every time.
I would go in this order: NYNY, the Mirage, MGM, Paris, and the Nugget.

I've stayed in the first three, so that's how I based my decision.
They are all worth a stay except the golden nugget, it's more run down than the others. MGM and New York are both great especially the roller coaster going around New York.
    MGM Grand!
    MGM....
The MGM was great, but the walk to and from the room was rough. It felt like it took 10 minutes or more to get from the elevators to the outside. Cheapovegas.com was right when they said "perfect for go-getters who love a brisk two-mile walk to get to their room." Wish I would have read that before we booked the hotel! I think the New York would have been more fun and might try it next time.

Which hotel is the best to stay in? Treasure Island, Mirage Hotel, Aladdin, or Monte Carlo?

Which hotel is the best to stay in? Treasure Island, Mirage Hotel, Aladdin, or Monte Carlo?

Also, how is Imperial Palace or the Golden Nugget?Which hotel is the best to stay in? Treasure Island, Mirage Hotel, Aladdin, or Monte Carlo?
    Mirage is the BEST!!!
in shelton theres a nice hotel called ''courtyard marriot'' and it's the best! in your own room, theres a little living room with a desk, a tv, (by the way u get 2 tvs in your room.) a fancy smell free bathroom, and a huge bed! in the lobby there's a nice pool that's 3 feet-5 feet!

Which hotel is the best to stay in? Treasure Island, Mirage Hotel, Aladdin, or Monte Carlo?
Of teh ones y ou Listed I would have to say the Mirage.

But if you ever have the money Caesars, Bellagio, and The Wynn are places you should stay at.
Well I stayed at Treasure Island. The location is wonderful. If you get bored you can just take the train and go to the mirage. Across the street is the mall and the Venetian. The service there is excellent!
Imperial Palace is a dump. Golden Nugget nicest hotel downtown but still downtown which is dingy. Mirage more upscale while T.I. more for the kids. Aladdin and Monte Carlo are average. Good luck!
I've stayed at the Treasure Island and the Mirage, both owned by the same people. Mirage is a tad cheaper and if you get a strip side view, you can see the volcano show.

The Aladdin is ok. They did some remodeling but I'd rather pay for a newer hotel.

Imperial Palace is the lowest of the ones you listed, well next to the Nugget.. but the Nugget is in downtown. The rooms are clean in the Nugget. Of the downtown locations, the Nugget is the best of the bunch. Stay away from the Plaza in downtown. That really stinks there.

I also stayed at the Bellagio. Right now they have a special on their web site for $159 a night. The rooms are VERY spacious and they have a sunken tub in their bathroom, very luxurious! The only down side is how to get in to the Bellagio. Their parking situation is a bit tricky. Otherwise, its one of the nicer places, IMHO.

My sister stayed at the Cesars, and said only stay in the new towers. Otherwise, their rooms have gone downhill.
the Bellagio is beautiful but if on budget try the Palace Station locations
I stayed at the Mirage once, on a business trip. It was nice. But it seems like you can pretty much hop between one casino and another regardless of where you stay, so I guess it depends how important it is to you where you lay your head.
monte carlo is my favorite.....aladdin will probably be the cheapest.
I worked at the Mirage, so Im biased towards any of the MGM properties. IP and GN are old and not as nice and smell of stale cigarettes. Monte Carlo is older as well. You can also check off strip for cheaper rooms. Station Casino's are nice. Green Valley Ranch is really nice, less expensive and about 15 min from the strip in Henderson off of I-215. The Orleans is closer and exceptionally nice. I stayed there before I moved there and was pleasantly surprised.

Of what you listed this it the order Id choose.

    1. Mirage

    2. Treasure Island

    3. Aladdin

    4. Monte Carlo

    5. Imperial Palace

    6. Golden Nugget
Actually the #1 choices might be other than those listed by u. Well, it depends if u want cheaper or expensive. Belagio and Vanitian r the BEST ones lovely but can b expensive, Luxor is pretty nice and affordable. Anyways, if it has 2b the one listed then Monte Carlo.

What cereal did you eat as a kid?

and do you still eat it now? i remember getting nesquick and golden nuggets and coco pops but my mum buys more grown up cereal now like special k and shredded wheat....sometimes a girl just needs a bowl of cookie crisp!! lol what is your childhood cereal? What cereal did you eat as a kid?
All the ones you got were all the ones I wasn't allowed. I got Golden Nuggets ONCE, and that was when we were on holiday, and my Mum was shamed into letting me have them by her friend.

I had Weetabix, Ready Brek and Shredded Wheat. That was it :/ Oh occasionally Alpen wuh woo!
Good question;) I absolutely love cereal! When I was little I used to eat frosted flakes, coco pops, sugar puffs, cheerios! However, now I have a more healthier variation like shreddies, weetabix, rice krispies, cornflakes.. oh and I just love a bowl of warm oats in the morning :DWhat cereal did you eat as a kid?
I didn't eat a lot of cereal as a kid, but my favorite was Lucky Charms. Mom usually would just give me toast and milk, but I would beg for Lucky Charms. Occasionally I'd get it, but more often it was Raisin Bran. When I got into my pre-teens, I loved Mueslix.
Froot Loops, and there was also this Crunchie cereal with bits of Crunchie chocolate bar in it! Also I ate Sugar Crisp, Alpha Bits, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, French Toast Crunch... A wide variety. And I still eat them too. :)
Ready Brek or cornflakes was the usuals that I remember. I still eat cornflakes now and again (or more like once in a blue moon!), but ready Brek? Tried it again a few years back, and I hate it.
Frankenberry. I haven't seen it on the shelves in a long time. I used to eat Froot Loops and Corn Pops too- I don't eat any of those anymore.
My favorite cereal was (I'm not sure what they were called) but they were that cereal with the lepercon on it. I always loved taking out the puffy ones and leaving out the others lol
Coco pops, Crunchy nuts, Coco pops moon and rocks, Cookie crisps,
It was never one of the sugary cereals at home. At my granny's however.......Cookie Crisp!!!! That really brings back the memories.
Frosted flakes but now i eat cheerios.
haha omg i was totally addicted to golden nuggets n frosties .. i still love coco pops n nesquick lmao %26gt;%26lt; n um... chocolate museli anything chocolately really XD
    Reese's puffs Cereal

    Wheaties
Fruity pebbles, frosted flakes, so on.
My favorites were Boo Berry and Cocoa Krispies.
I think my favorite cereals were called "choco pops" or something along those lines... That was in France back in the 1980s. I LOVED them!!!
I'm in your exact situation!!!!!!!! :D
rice crispies! i practically lived on them lol
    puffed wheat, or porrage.
    Cap N Crunch=)
fruity pebbles! i love those yumyumyum
kellogs start and ready break mmmm
    honey nut Cheerios..yummy

i don't eat it now...when i eat cereal i get the resses puff

That's a pretty long list, but I'll tell you what I know from experience. Any cafe should have reasonable prices and decent food.

Fremont Hotel (junk food there)- Go across the street to California Hotel and there is a Snack Shop downstairs on the opposite corner of the front desk. They have some pretty good food. Everything is cooked to order and reasonable. They have things like Japanese food (tempura, teriyaki), Chili (from Zippy's in Hawaii), sandwiches, etc.

Ethel M. Chocolate Factory - If you go to any station casino, a few nearby, they have a food court type area with pizza, new york deli, panda express, ice cream place, quiznos, and a cafe.

There is also a mall nearby (Galleria at Sunset) that is really good (good prices and sales) and has a food court and some restaurants.

We also have L%26amp;L on Stephanie and Sunset near Target, which sells Hawaiian style foods like shrimp curry, chicken katsu, hamburger steak, mahi, etc.

Hoover Dam - They have a small snack shop. There is nothing really close by.

Luxor - At the Luxor, they have a food court where they have McDonald's, some sandwich places, etc.

Caesar's Palace - I've stayed there and I don't remember any small places to eat, but they do have a mall where you can probably go to.

New York, New York has a lot of little places to eat.

Aladdin - The cafe (Zanzibar, I think), has good tasting food and wide variety. The eggs benedict is really good. I ate that for dinner a lot.
that's a WILD list! OK, I have the same problem, LOL! But I know that lots of the new fancy-schmancy hotels have great places to eat - we just have to choose wisely. I do also know that there are big shopping malls in hotels like the Aladdin %26amp; Caeser's, so therefore, should be lots of choices. All I'm sure about is IN-N-OUT Burger the day after, LOL!By each of these sites in Las Vegas, where are good, inexpensive places to eat or snack?
    Buffets
The best places to eat in LV are at the buffets. The best buffet we found for the money was at Circus Circus. At the same time, if you want CHEAP, there are plenty of Fast Food places on the strip as well.

NO ONE does lunch better than the Westward Ho. The "HO" is a great little casino with a hometown feel. Their restaurant is inexpensive by most standards and the portions are HUGE. We discovered it only becausae our package included lunch there. BUT we went back again and again. Great food, nice atmosphere and good price.

In the past (when I lived in Nevada) the buffets were a way to get people into the casinos. They were cheap and the food was plentiful. These days expect high prices at most of the big buffets (Luxor is the highest we found) so take your time and explor the nearby restaurants when it's NOT meal time. It's hard to be objective when you're hungry, so checking out the restaurants when you're NOT hungry is the best way to find a great deal. REad all teh signs, and check the time. Some buffets have lower prices on lunch - but lunch lasts until 4 pm. So if you get in the door at 3:55, you pay LUNCH prices. (The true secret of the early bird special....)
try to stay away as much as you can from the strip if you want to save money if mot try the buffets best deal for your money

  • How do you tell someone you love they have bad hygiene?

I'm in love with someone who has very bad hygiene. I am a very clean person...takes baths daily, brush my teeth and wash my face every day. In the begining I didn't know about this persons problem. He doesn't brush his teeth and doesn't takes baths everyday like I do. How can I tell this person he needs to wash his azz and brush those golden nuggets in his mouth without hurting his feelings?

PLEASE, SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY!!!!How do you tell someone you love they have bad hygiene?
listen honey you really do need to take a bath and brush your teeth . I feel so much better about kissing you if I know I am kissing a clean mouth . something along those lines would be really great . good luck .
It is difficult to do, and I had been on the receiving end of this type of conversation during my teens. Buy him a "gift bag" of scented soap, or the scented liquid soaps like Old Spice, etc. Tell him you like the smell of it, and want him to use it for you. Also, throw in some toothpaste and toothbrush, and a little bottle of mouthwash. Throw in some Cologne. He will think you are being thoughtful by giving him these things. Most guys like when a girl buys him gifts, no matter what they are! Also, try to talk to him; be direct but nice. It isn't easy. Good luck. How do you tell someone you love they have bad hygiene?
If he's that bad move on, that type will never change!
well do what i did...act like you want to go somewhere and tell him take a shower and get cleaned up...or i also went to the store and bought his own shampoo and soap...and when i noticed it wasnt being used i would simply say honey i bought you your own soap please dont use mine....and adventually he will come around and start using the soap. but if it gets tooooo bad then simply say lets go swimming and when you get home tell him to take a shower to get the stinky fish smell off.
Sweetie, with some people, you have to just come out with it and tell them, but do it nicely. Buy him a goodie box filled with men's body wash, toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, etc. and give it to him. If he asked why, tell him why.......
Just tell him. I know that it sounds mean but it is better that you tell him, then him going into a public place and someone there telling him.
How did you fall in love with him? If you fell in love with him behaving that way, you shouldn't have a problem...if you do, you don't love him.
Ahhh, the perverbial hygiene question. This is delicate, like my man's impending baldness. Well, all I gotta say is, the teeth may go, the hair may go, the belly may inflate, the behind may be scratched one too many times, just take the subtle route and buy a cascade of dental hygiene products that "suddenly" appear on his side of the bathroom sink: Teeth whitening strips, whitening toothpaste, whitening mouthwash, and you mustn't forget the TONGUE SCRAPER. This accounts for most of the halitosis. And buy yourself a matching set so that y'all can scrub scrub scrub together. Ain't love grand?

Good luck to you! Blessings always....
talk about how you people smell bad if they have bad hygiene and then tell him that he's one of those people
Take a shower with him, scrub him down, and tell him to brush his teeth or he doesn't get any goodies. Bad Hygiene is disgusting.
You just have to tell him. No other way. Just be gentle. I once dated someone liek that and I joked with him that I'd only kiss clean fresh and minted lips. lol

Secondly, I told him that I love the smell of soap and that he should take more showers and leave the bathroom smelling of soap.
There are a few things you can do.

First you can buy a nice little basket and put some nice soap, colonge, mouthwash and toothbrush, toothpaste in it and give it as a gift.

You can also make bathtime a fun time by suggesting to shower together. So you get to spend some quality time together and he gets to bathe!

Another option is to drop subtle hints about his hygiene. If you catch a whiff of a nasty odor, tell him politely that maybe his deodorant isn't working. Also, if he's stinky, stop cuddling him, sit farther away and pull away when he gets close. If he asks why, tell him that your not sure why, but your smelling something funky and can't figure out what it is. Hopefully, he gets the hint and goes and showers.

Always reward the positive behavior so he knows to associate the two! Its like training a puppy! Treat him when he does the good things so he does it more often!
Schedule appts for each of you at the dentist for about the same time when he is shocked say well to prevent cavities you have to go once every 6 mo as an adult, they will tell him for you when they go digging in his mouth and then when he is sputtering about how rude they were afterwards you can kiss him real good and tell him how good his mouth feels that may be a good incentive and ask him to join you in the morning and eve when you brush and shower. guys love to shower with their girls alot of the time, also he just may have never learned how the dentist will show him though
This is a Hard one try making a Joke about it and maybe that will help and if nothing works just try and tell him flat out if worse comes to worse leave a basket on his doorstep with things like shampoo toothbrush toothpast those kind of things and Hopefully he will take a hint

When you go to vegas on honeymoon?

Is it true when your on your honeymoon that if you tell the front desk it is your honeymoon they might upgrade your room or give you a free bottle of Champagne? I have herd this is true but i don't know if it is in Las Vegas. We will be staying at the Golden Nugget. When you go to vegas on honeymoon?
It MIGHT help you out...doesn't hurt to mention it.

BUT, there is a great infamous Vegas trick called the "$20 Trick." This has been known to work. When you check in, slip the front desk clerk a $20 bill with your credit card. Ask if they have any complimentary room upgrades available and that it is your honeymoon and you would really appreciate if they would check for you. If they do, they will keep the $20 bill and provide you with the upgrade. If not, they will return the bill. So it really is risk free and worth a shot. Who knows, they may even throw in a bottle of champagne.

My parents used this in Vegas at a concert they were attending. My mom asked an usher to show them to their seats, while slipping him a $20 bill and the guy brought them right down to the front row of the concert! Talk about an upgrade!
    "Might" is the key word.

It varies from hotel to hotel. Right now hotels are not full at all, so an upgrade is probably likely. When you go to vegas on honeymoon?
    good luck and happy honeymooning...
can't heart to try... the worst thing that can happened they will say no
You have to remember that LV is the wedding capitol of the world. If they did that with everyone who just got married they would be too busy doing that all the time. It is worth a try though. In this economy they are happy to have anyone check in and with rooms empty and upgrade isn't out of the ordinary but a bottle of champagne??? I don't think so.
It depends for that. Otherwise it may or may not. You can look up info about the honeymoon in Las Vegas though.
GOLDEN NUGGET IS A GREAT HOTEL
It didn't happen for me. I stayed at Treasure Island and every chance I got while talking to the concierge or the front desk, I brought up the fact I would be there on my honeymoon.

Does anyone remember a kid video back in the 80's or 90's that had a forest village of cartoon animals?

The main character was a bunny or a raccoon I think, but I know the bad guy was a bat. There were also golden nuggets in the plot, and one of the characters painted rocks yellow to pass as golden nuggets. I also remember another scene where the village is having some big party, but it's ruined by the bat who comes flying in. Anybody?Does anyone remember a kid video back in the 80's or 90's that had a forest village of cartoon animals?
I think i've seen that. Was everyone an animal and was it all kind of happy-cheery?Does anyone remember a kid video back in the 80's or 90's that had a forest village of cartoon animals?

Going to Las Vegas next week. Which strip is better for the slots? The one with the fancy hotels, or?

the strip where they have the older casinos. Like the one you see in the movies all the time--the neon cowbody with the big hat, the Golden Nugget, etc?Going to Las Vegas next week. Which strip is better for the slots? The one with the fancy hotels, or?
Kathy got it right off the strip food %26amp; drinks are cheaper Watch yourself
I would go to casinos on the strip it's more exciting and they have better security. The smaller casinos are mostly where the locals go an are not as well kept (at least most of them).Going to Las Vegas next week. Which strip is better for the slots? The one with the fancy hotels, or?
There is the "strip" the newer hotels and " Fremont Street" / downtown. It really doesn't matter where you go the slots are fixed so the odds are against you. When I go I either play Mega Bucks or "Double Diamonds" machine and bet the max. I seem to do better that way, Be careful though other machine will have a $20.00 max bet so make sure you read before insert your money. Oh, the Wheel of fortune slots are fun too.
None lol however we like downtown best but we stay at Circus Circus on the strip. Down town is as bright as a Sunny day all night. The casinos on the strip are so darn large it can take an hour to find your way out lol Some thing is always going on downtown and you do not have to walk a mile to get to it.

Be very cautious and stay alert on the strip or downtown crime is rampant in Las Vegas always has been its worse now. Do not leave any valuables in your room no matter where you stay.
Go to the strip for people and spectacle watching. Go downtown to gamble, or to one of the big "station" casinos scattered about the valley, such a Boulder Station, great buffet, plenty of all your favorite machines, not far from downtown on Boulder Highway. Good place to stay too.

My husband and I lived very near for many years.
I don't know, but I'm leaving for Vegas tomorrow night for the first time! Very excited.

    I don't like slots much. I like Let-It-Ride.
I haven't been in a while but I always won money at "Circus Circus" on the slot machines and MGM too.
I've heard that the slot are a little loser downtown on Fremont Street than on the Strip. And the rooms may be a little cheaper as well, though things are getting tight here because of the economy. The one thing you want to remember, besides following everyone's advice on security, is to bring very comfortable walking shoes.

    Have fun and good luck.
The main casinos on the strip are good but get the slots closest to the street they are usually the loosest symply because the jackpot bells attract people inside. The locals go to smaller off the strip casinos like the old Longhorn.
